Full Moon in Leo.

There’s something arresting, magical even, about a Leo Moon.

 The luminary of the night sky in the Temple of the Sun feels like a beautiful and cooperative exchange of light. An alchemy of lunar and solar energies. It makes me think of an evening primrose flower - softly luminous in the early morning, as well as the evening. Gravitating to the light and opening its buttery, golden heart to both the Sun and the Moon with a natural ease and expression of joy.

 Moon in Leo has a lot of dignity, and can teach us the value of shining our light, unapologetically and unselfconsciously.

 A warm, generous and gracious Moon, it invites us to share our heart’s desires, to create joyfully, and offer our creative gifts to an audience. When not in its Shadow aspect, Leo Moon isn’t jealous or hungry to gobble all the limelight – it’s happy to share and encourage others to shine as brightly – nurturing creativity and confidence. There’s more than enough light to go round, and this Moon knows it won’t be overshadowed when it has the courage to be utterly itself, adding its bright dash of drama and flamboyance.

 With this month’s FM, peering over the edge of the final degrees of Leo, there’s an even greater sense of culmination that a Full Moon can bring. Potentially a tipping point, as there’s a lot happening this week.

 Mars and Venus are carving their path through Capricorn, as well as the much-anticipated juiciness of the Jupiter sextile Uranus (exact this Friday). Meanwhile, this Leo Moon is doing its own thing, offering us a lifting and lightening – a solar-lunar gift amidst the almost relentless Saturnine themes that have dominated for…what feels like eons.

 This is a good time to bring together a creative project, to put yourself out there; and it’s also a time to sink into your heart. Seek some pleasure and joy doing something you truly love.Take pride in your creations as the natural flowering expressions of the spirit and life. Also, enjoy the moment and lighten up a bit!
