This is not the spark that Aries offers us, but a steady burn. A lunation ruled by our most persisting of stars - Helios the Sun enthroned - is emphatically Yang in nature, & infused with warmth & radiance.

A New Moon in Leo, in a decan held by Mars, is a solar-powered hatchling - newborn phoenix rising upon the dark breast of mighty Aphrodite's redux. The scorched hatchling echoes a refrain - a chorus sings once more with feeling: we promise you, our pledge - the safe return of Venus Morningstar from the Underworld.

The velvet of those Venusian paws may be singed, but the sharpness of Leo's tooth & claw, musk & instinct remain intact.

This New Moon offers a generous (re)seeding of sovereignty, of unconquerable courage, & radiant knowledge.

Our NM squares off in an exact degree with mad-horned Prometheus in Taurus. There's an irrepresibly chthonic impulse. We have a potential for liberation beyond cage-rattling grumbles; & for breakthroughs that deliver us beyond the trip-wires & loops of our daily merde. But our resolve is required along with our authentically expressed desire.
