Retrograde Mars in Gemini

MARS RX IN GEMINI - @ 25°37”, OCT 31. TURNS DIRECT JAN 13th @ 8° ︎. EXITS SHADOW MARCH 16th, 2023, (AEDT).

Mars - noteworthy host of our recent eclipse is now retrograde. Mars begins His rx square to Neptune in Pisces, adding existential confusion to our sense of direction as He stumbles backwards.

This can be a time where we feel as though we’re not progressing with our goals. We may feel discouraged, & impatient to get moving forward; but this is a good time to reevaluate our desires.

This is also a time when frustrations can erupt into harsh words. Take note of repressed anger & resentments. The clash & lash of tongue & claw.

Communication may be either overtly aggressive, or with covert hostilities & mind-games. Already I’m seeing micro-aggressions during this eclipse season. What fear or pain lies beneath in regards to clear & honest expression of needs & desires?

This is an excellent time to actively examine our drives, & practice compassion & mindfulness. Jupiter in Pisces ︎can aid us in cultivating this wisdom.

The cliches tell us to “speak our truth”. The core message is noble, but many of us are not taught how. With Mars rx in ︎Gemini we might want to check ourselves, & ask whether we’re being truthful or just unkind.

Beware of weaponising words. This enables catharsis in the moment, but may result in damage we can’t repair easily. Knowing when to speak, & when to hold our tongues is a refined art worth mastering now. Skillful means.

Mars rx in Gemini ︎ is a transit that can provoke lightning quick reactiveness - not necessarily from bad intentions, but from anxiety & bottled up tensions. Also from adrenal fight-or-flight nervous system patterns, PTSD & ADHD; or economic survival stress. Don’t underestimate how real these can be for people. Bring in kindness & account for multiple realities & experiences.

Calm & centre a speeding mind with conscious deep breathing, (︎ rules the lungs, & Mars in ︎Gemini might have us breathing quickly & shallowly).

Try to communicate issues before they build to burning resentments that explode. Keep communication channels clear without sludge, sneaky stings, or pass-agg agendas.

We’re all mostly just doing the best we can.
