A Bright, Healing Full Moon in Aries

FULL MOON IN ARIES @16°32”, 10 OCT, 7:55AM AEDT.

Keywords: Confidence & Healing in Balance

La Lune is aflame & fearless in Aries. This is an incandescent, gallant & generous lunation - right on the precipice of Eclipse Season. As ever, we’re offered just the medicine we need. Here’s the spoonful of courage & confidence, before the whirlwind of the year intensifies.

Hosting our Moon is Mars in ︎Aries, in a harmonious & cooperative sextile with Mama Moon. The same goes for our greater malefic, Saturn. Yes, Mars is square to Neptune, (we may need to curb the urge to fight dragons & go tipping at windmills); but I’m firmly in the camp of astrologers who see this FM as largely positive.

Our luminaries are blessed by both benefics, spared any harsh aspects from malefics. The Sun in Libra is supported closely by a queenly Venus, dancing gracefully in the court of her own palace. She lends support to balance & harmonise conflicting needs between the self & others.

Jupiter co-present with this bright Moon, enlarges the poetic romanticism of La Lune in the Ram; doubling the dose of emotional warmth & generosity that Fire offers.

The Moon where the Sun is exalted shines ever so brightly. With our Warrior Mother Moon conjunct Chiron we may experience a true release & healing of old, primal wounds relating to our sense of self, or shame around being our true selves.

Shame is not always our own. ︎The Aries-Libra axis is one where we can conflate self with other, lugging around shame that isn’t always our own. You no longer have to carry that load. This lunation offers emotional support & release in abundance.

Trace back your lunar thread to April. Aries represents the child as well as core sense of self. What childhood wounds or injured selfhood were being stirred up? Are there old wounds from being required to save face for others at cost to your own needs? Were you able to express your needs without being labelled "selfish"?

Where have you needed both courage & desire to follow through or make changes? Or to simply follow your desires, & show up as yourself without apology?

Give yourself credit now for your efforts. And know that no effort is wasted. You may surprise yourself at how far you've come.

This lunation asks us to be a Warrior of Compassion. In order to give compassion to others, we must offer it first to ourselves & our own wounds. You also don’t have to do it all alone - open to receive love & support from others.

Fortify yourself, dear hearts, with all the courage this most poetic of Warriors, our Great Mother embodies in Aries.

This will be the last of eclipse-free lunations for a while across the Aries-Libra axis.

Bright Moon blessings to you!
