A Bright & Hopeful New Moon in Sagittarius

NEW MOON @ 1°37” SAGITTARIUS ︎ 24th NOV, 9:57AM (AEDT).

Yesterday the Sun entered Sagittarius, heralding our Season of the fiery Archer. Tomorrow our Maiden Moon is newborn in the Centaur.
This freshly seeded lunation could not be brighter with hope, bubbling over as She is with optimism & renewed faith. This is an auspicious Moon indeed, embodying a sweetness & innocence that renews our trust in life.

Ebullient enthusiasm & good humour. A champagne bottle uncorked. A celebratory spirit. Flowering woodbine in the dusk - redolent, lusty, & nectarous with fire. Rose-gold threads of hope at sunrise. Unadulterated effervescence. A flaming arrow seeking truth, expansive, horizonal. Cheeky, buoyant, angelic.

A flourish is added by ☿ conjunct in ︎, lending a fusion of charms. Adventurous swagger blends with an expansive, idealistic philosophy delighting our freedom-seeking (im)pulse.

Jupiter is both host & midwife of this lunation,(supporting the rebirth of ☿ & as Evening Stars). Jupiter stations direct in ︎Pisces a mere 5 minutes after the birth of the La Lune - an emphatic moment: “‘tis I!” declares wise, old Jove at Home in His oceanic Home. Memory-keeper & Otherworld doula, Jupiter prepares to swim forward, replenishing our reservoirs of faith.

During Eclipse Season, our bright hopes were held latent in the dark; cloaked & cradled in the shrivelled belly of our Croning eclipses. Yet just as our grandmothers carried the eggs of their granddaughters deep within their wombs, so too Bone Mother Moon bears the pomegranate seeds - fertile ruby clusters needed to (re)birth our future hopes & dreams.

She was Key & Keeper of our rebirth & renewal.

Stripped down to the bone in ︎Scorpio Season, the shedding & releasing was necessary in order that something new may be born. Trust is ︎ medicine arriving when it’s most needed. Jupiter catches & blesses our newborn Moon, slick from the womb of Crone ︎Scorpio.

Look to the House where Sagittarius ︎ resides to see where this beautiful renewal takes place. Embrace this moment wholeheartedly - a high tide for hope & Life itself.

A herb for this lunation is Honeysuckle* (woodbine) flowers. I’m sipping them as a tea - a herb of Sagittarius - embodying the bright sweetness of our NM.

*Please note:
only the flowers of honeysuckle are safe to ingest. All other parts of this plant are toxic. Always ensure correct identification before use.
